Winter is waiting in the wings,

feel the crispness in the air morn and night,

leaves turning, falling to the ground,

my view from kitchen window,

 lovely ornamental pear edging our drive, 

wearing a beautiful coat of many colours.

Smart Birds

These are photos of the same nest,
which show the ingenuity of the
Leatherhead bird.   They have made a base for
the nest  weaving bark strips into other
bits scavanged from the surrounding area.
Brilliant, have never seen a nest like this before.
